S.S.C.C won 1st Place in Colgate Choir Competition in the early 1980's Pastor Washington has had the pleasure of working with such greats as Rickey Dillard (of Rickey Dillard & New G), Lonnie Hunter (Lonnie Hunter & St. Mark MB Choir) and many others they are now well known artists.

Co- Pastor Daphney & elect / 1st Lady Lady was born in Illinois to the late Deacon Lonnie & Pastor Evang. Ethel P. Sims Daphney is the youngest of eight children. She attended high school at St. Francis Academy in Joliet, Il. She is a graduate of Robert Morris College & Upper Iowa State University.   She holds her A.A.S  & B.A in Business Management.   Elect Lady/ 1st Lady is the mother of 2 wounderful step sons & 1 gorgeous step daughter all adults.  She has also been a foster mother to over 12 children and is the God mother or Spiritual mother to many.

Daphney is also an entrepreneur & small business owner and has been so since the age of 17. She is a member of ASCAP (music association), NAACP, AGLOW International (Pres. Sandi Betts), Black Women Business Owners Association, Women N Power Organization Illinois (www.womennpower.com)        (Pres. Delores Richmond), Power Move Fellowship of Churches (Founder Bishop Nathaniel Holmes). 

Co-Pastor Daphney was ordained as a Minister in 2001 and as a Pastor in 2006 Monument of Faith Ministries (Apostle Richard D. Henton) & International Deliverance Outreach Ministries Inc. (Bishop Linda C. Shearrill www.lindacshearrillministry.org ) 

She is Co-Pastor of  Victory in Praise I.D.O.M (Pastor Husband Roy Washington) http://vipm.thischurch.org   Pastor Daphney operates and flows in the Gifts of Prophecy, Dreams.     She is also blessed with the talent of Governing in the church.

*Musical Bio Daphney started singing as well as playing Organ at 8 yrs old. Later after her mother and father were amazed at her ability to play the organ by ear they booked her for organ and piano lessons. Lynne Smith the former minister of music at Mt. Olive C.O.G.I.C. (Pastor Bishop William H. Bonner) would play a gospel song and then Daphney at age 10 would just pick it up after 1 lessons. She was the church organist at age 13 for Holy Ghost Deliverance Cntr. &#2. She received award of commitment from C.O.G.I.C. for her years of commitment (Bishop Goodwin).

Daphney was vocally trained at Joliet Jr. College, Valley Kingdom ministries Workshop (instructor Lonnie Hunter), and with Rickey Ricardo Sims of L.A. California.

Daphney has participated in or has been an invite guest of many local Gospel fests, live recordings, musicals and Concerts. Such as, "H.G.D.C INSPIRATIONAL CHOIR" (MESSIAH Records) freshman recording project, "Jesse Dixon", "Liquid Fire" (Christian Rock Group), "Edward Get Down Crosby" (House Music Pioneer, "Tanya Ray" (ARM entertainment), "Lonnie Harrison & Light House Ministries, "Trinity 5-7", "Limmie Battles", "Percy Grey" (New Direction Founder, Dove and Stellar Award nominee & 2004 Stellar award recipient), "Lisa Jones", "A. Walker" (Queen of Gospel), "Bridgett Camble", "The Brown Sisters", "Willie Wilson" (Singsation WGN T.V.), "Tracy Worth", "Lonnie Hunter", Christ Bolton, Kevin Vasser (Youth Edition), Arthor Sutton & The Gift of Praise, Shakinah Glory Min., Gerri Harris, "Shelia White", TONY TIDWELL & RIGHTEOUS LIVING.  this list continues to grow. Daphney also won first place in Nashville TN. in a talent contest shown on a national level & received a recording contract from "Diamond Records".

She was featured Artist of the month on www.gospelindex.com. Her EP single surfaced for airplay on several Gospel Stations (WWHN,WBEE,WSSD,WLUW, WGCI (Christian) ETC.)all in the Chicago land area.

Pastor Daphney says was lead into the recording studio by the Holy Spirit and released her freshman project entitled “Rescue Me”.
The motivation behind this first project was the Holy Spirit.   She also credits the motivation to her mother and Father the late Pastor Evangelist Ethel P. Sims and the late Deacon Lonnie M. Sims Sr. and to Germaine O. Jackson.

She credits the motivation behind her second project is her brothers & Sisters Dennis, Lonnie Jr., Rickey, Vincent, Demetria, Julie and Roslyn.  Her son, the late Matthew Joshua Jackson and to God for bringing her through when the doctors gave her a 50/50% chance of living.  She states that God said NO, you shall live and you will not die. 

Pastor Daphney has been through an 11+ year marriage that turned emotionaly, mentally & physically abusive in the later years.  She went through a rough desert upon the death of her son and following the death of her mother within a 2 month time frame and divorce.

She  said "God has taught her how to forgive.   Things happen in our life that we don't understand, but God always has a master plain.  Just when we think he is far from us he is right there beside us preparing us for ministry.   God is my everything; in him I put my trust."
